How it all started
Kaitlin's Journey started in 2017 to build awareness about an invisible illness that society easily forgets. Sickle Cell disease is easily forgotten because they cannot physically see the issues that are connected to Sickle Cell unless it has caused long-term problems. My goal is to improve the quality of life for Kaitlin and others like her while they are on this journey!
Kaitlin's Story
Kaitlin was diagnosed with Sickle Cell at birth and is currently a patient at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital where she has been a patient since she was two months old. Although Kaitlin has Sickle Cell, it doesn't have her. She is a sweet but feisty little lady that doesn't let having a life-threatening illness stop her.
